I don’t thing I’m the only person on the planet who cant read this.

At the very least, it would take two (or six) tries to get it right. The sad reality is these Captcha’s (what a catch phrase) are taking over the net by storm and  makes the simplest of tasks more difficult than they need to be, and for what? Captcha’s are intended to curb the machine from subjecting us to its evil ways.  Unfortunately, the way these things are popping up more and more I feel like the CAPTCHA itself is more of a nuisance than the it’s supposed to save us from!   I used to be able to read these things just fine, but they are becoming so cryptic I have to use my mouses magnify button to read them.  Even still I end up being wrong and having to start all over again.   Half the time I just get frustrated and don’t bother posting my comment or whatever I was trying to do in the first place.

A call to action for web developers! Lets find a better way to differentiate between computers and people, because I don’t think I’m alone in feeling like surfing the web is becoming a chore.  Perhaps we could take a cue from Facebook, and authenticate our human status with a cell phone? Just a thought.
